But while the Kultchus Band does honor the reggae greats, like Robert Nestor Marley, Steel Pulse, and Lucky Dube, the band is not just reggae. The Kultchus ingeniously infuse contemporary music; from the likes of Jason Mraz and Five For Fighting, with reggae rhythms to bring smooth, mellow and enjoyable harmonies. The Kultchus also cover other genres of music; like sweet Caribbean Soca and Calypso – and with each member’s unique flavor, you will “feel to party”… every time!

British international recording artist/composer/producer Clive Stevens was born in Bristol, England, a city famous for Reggae and the Trip Hop music wave spawning exciting innovative artists like Massive Attack, Neneh Cherry, Portishead, Tricky, Producer Nelle Hooper (Soul To Soul) and Smith and Mighty.
After studying saxophone with Eddie Jackman and Ronnie Ross (famous English baritone sax star) Clive left for the United States to study music composition/arranging/improvisation at the legendary Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Ludacris (MTV awards 2005) and has opened for the Rolling Stones.
Eric and the Wannabes will be playing Soukous Style jams,
(Modern Congolese dance music), so PREPARE TO DANCE!

That's right - a drum circle inside LE CAFE! We're moving the tables and opening the space up to the wonderful members of South Florida's Drum Circle Community. If not there will be extras so don't be shy!

It's Memorial Day Weekend! Here in Sunny South Florida we forget our brothers and sisters in the cold North Regions, and their ritual of making up for a winter of no sun and beach all in one weekend, so in honor of not only those that gave their lives so we could do so, but also those that have come out of the winter cocoon to officially kick off the summer fun season, we salute you! Friday night starts out with some nice tapas specials and the usual 2-4-1 happy hour, followed by another slammin' performance by JaJA LIVE! COME OUT AND JOIN US!

Ongoing - Le Cafe Presents: "Off the Cuff" with Sammy Figueroa
At age 19, Sammy Figueroa found himself living in NYC working at Sam Goodies. After months of selling records to Herbie Mann he was given his first break - sit in with the Herbie Mann band. He was a kid but they loved him. Two months later he was playing Montreaux Jazz festival and the rest is history…
Figueroa has never forgotten his humble but exciting beginnings. His mentors taught him the importance of being influenced by young, up-and-coming musicians and artists. "It feeds my soul' says Sammy, "it's more than just fun – it's necessary in order for me to continue creating, let alone living."
When Sammy and Joe Teskie (a student of improvisational music and friend of Le Cafe) first met, Figueroa could feel the connection and knew something great would grow from it.
When the opportunity came to reach out to his community and the beautiful people of South Florida through an opportunity to play improvisational music – Sammy jumped on it.
Figueroa and Teskie both said, "let's just play man – something "off the cuff"…
Join Sammy Figueroa and "Off the Cuff" every other Thursday from 8 pm – 11 pm.
